Ford will be contacting the owners of certain 2020 Ford Explorers and 2020 Lincoln Aviators for a problem that may affect the fuel system in their vehicle.
Ford will be contacting the owners of certain 2020 Ford Explorers and 2020 Lincoln Aviators for a problem that may affect the fuel system in their vehicle.
According to the defect report filed with the NHTSA, the length of the convoluted protective sleeve on the fuel lines is not long enough and may allow contact between the two lines. Over time, hard contact between the two lines could cause a fuel leak that would increase the chance of an engine fire.
Owners receiving notices will be instructed to return to their Ford or Lincoln dealers to have their vehicles inspected and the protective sleeve replaced as necessary.
