STEERING

after driving approximately 90 miles at freeway speeds, the steering becomes "notchy". minor steering corrections become almost impossible since the steering wheel will only move in finite increments so driving the car becomes difficult, even dangerous since it is not possible to position it properly in the traffic lane. weather or temperature does not seem to affect the problem. the car steers properly on short trips but on a regular, weekly trip i make, the problem always occurs after about 90 miles. after the car is stopped (at the 130 mile mark) for a couple hours, the problem does not reoccur at start-up. dealer has been contacted and cannot duplicate the problem--but hasn't driven the car for more than a mile or so.

POWER TRAIN

on april 27, 2013, while attempting to park my car i put the car in reverse gear and all of a sudden the car jerked in the reverse so hard that if a car was directed behind me parked i would have hit it and damaged both cars. then, the car jerked forward when i switch gears to drive forward and then the car started making a loud clicking sound. then before that! i had a problem on 4/19/2013 trying to reverse into another parking area and the car did pretty much the same things as it did on april 27th. also, sometimes when i press on my brakes, coming to a full stop, the car will lounge forward while pressing on brake. this is very dangerous occurrences. i have not contact the dealer as of yet. but, i intend too asap. i have also checked for any recalls, and there are none yet as of 2013, but there are a couple of complaints only. 2012 cruze had several airbag, and engine issues. please advise! thank you

brake pedal travels too far before brakes engage. brake pedal nearly to floor when stopping at any speed. dealer did not resolve problem, said there were no service bulletins regarding the problem. this is a brand new car. dealer placed bright orange sticker in doorjam which states if car is in accident to call them. i could not make this up! see many other posts regarding this problem. i would like the master brake cylinder replaced on all these complaints of soft brake pedals on new cars.

simply getting into the car as getting into any car. under portion of dash so low it caused abrasion and bruising to right shin upon entry. very painful and unnecessary. some modification needs to be made to allow for a diminutive person with long legs to enter car safely. this happened about fifteen minutes ago (9 a.m.) and i am still reeling from the pain of it. the injury was quick and without notice, so the impact is sudden and unexpected. notes: height 5'1" leg length 32" at inseam this is a rental car (enterprise). license plate [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

i have several incidents that have had occurred in a brand new 2013 chevy cruze with 7000 when the first incident occurred.. 1) the brake pedal travels too far before the brakes engage. 2) i was backing out of my driveway and had no brakes. i pushed the pedal to the floor and the breaks didnĀ??t respond. the car kept rolling. i feel that this is an extremely serious safety issue. i took it to the service department 3 times for them to fix it. i had to use a loan car for 5 days, and when i brought it seemed like they wouldn't believed what i was saying. apparently the problems was fixed, but a month and a half after 3) at various speeds, a loud squeaking noise was emitted from the vehicle when engaging the brake pedal. the technician duplicated the problem; however, he was unable to provide a remedy repair. the manufacturer was notified of the defect and hasn't solved the issue. after 6 days of having a loan car the problem was not solve. neither the managers or chevrolet the company have help me solving the problem. i think chevrolet is hiding the fact there is an issue. i see a lot of other people complain about the brakes on cruzetalk.com. i am student and full time worker and travel in parkways all the time and i donĀ??t fell safe driving the car anymore. after bringing my car back 4 times already and leaving it there for few days i asked the dealer and the company to give me my money back on the car. it seems like if they don't want to deal with the problem and don't care about customers safety. please help me!

2013 chevrolet cruze. consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration when braking. *smd the consumer stated while he thought he was stopped in a parking lot, waiting for the light to change, he apparently stepped on the brakes as well as the accelerator pedal, which caused the vehicle to move into the intersection. apparently, he applied more force to the accelerator, than the brake pedal. the consumer believed the accelerator pedal was raised too high off the floor.

i had the vehicle serviced for oil change and tire rotation on may 25. a few days later, approximately june 1, i noticed the vehicle was very hard to stop when backing out of my driveway (had to push down very hard on the brakes which did not seem to go to the floor). i also noticed that while i was stopped at red lights or behind other vehicles the car would lunge forward--not enough to hit someone because i noticed it as soon as it happened. about two weeks later i took the car to the dealership, jeff wyler chevrolet eastgate, and advised them of the problem. someone test drove the car with me in the passenger seat, and he informed me that he could find nothing wrong with the car. i do not know if he checked anything else while i was in the waiting room. at my request, he provided me with a printout documenting the visit. on july 7, 2013, while my daughter was pulling the vehicle into our garage, the brakes failed and she hit my granddaughter bicycle which, in turn, went through the drywall at the end of the garage. i have four children living at the house including an 8 and 10 year old. there is also a sign on our street indicating a deaf child lives on the street (we have only lived there since nov. 2012). we are very fortunate that a child has not been injured. there is no way to alert the deaf child that the car is coming their way since they cannot hear the horn.

while backing up into a parking space a woman decided to walk behind my car so i tried to stop. the car did not stop and the woman had to get out of the way. the car even though my foot was all the way down did not stop until the car hit a metal pole on the wall of the parking garage. as of today the car is still having problems and chevy tells me in every visit that the problems is something different.

while stopped at a red light, i kept feeling the vehicle surge as if it were trying to drive forward even though i had my foot on the brake pedal. the surge got to the point where i had to put the car in neutral just to stop it. when i put the car back in drive with my foot still on the brakes, the vehicle surged forward and almost hit the car in front of me. this surge was happening on and off but i have started to notice it happening more often now.

stopped at stop light on slight incline. released brake pedal and vehicle rolled backward, nearly striking vehicle behind me. took vehicle back to dealer and was told this was normal. experienced same conditions on incline several more times. took to different chevrolet dealer and was told this was normal. contacted gm and received call back. they spoke with service manager and asked me to take it back in. i took service manager with me and performed same activity twice. vehicle rolled backwards while in drive after stopping on incline and releasing brake. while rolling backwards the transmission jumped and the vehicle died. happened both times. i talked to gm corporate customer service several more times. service manager asked me to bring vehicle back in today (oct. 21). i reported same story and left vehicle at dealer. they called me back and said everything was normal. i talked to gm again and reported everything. called my auto insurance company and reported issue. this issue continues to occur and i am fearful that the vehicle may roll backwards into another vehicle or a pedestrian. i can anticipate this condition with a manual transmission and a clutch, but can not safely have one foot on the brake and the other on the gas with an automatic transmission.

driving the highway at approximately 55 mph, the check engine light pops on, and the car starts making light noises as if the transmission is having problems pulling. utilized the onstar button to request a diagnostic, and was informed that the transmission, and the drive train was giving error codes. i was instructed to get the car into the dealer for service within seven days. vehicle was taken in for service the very next morning by 7:45 am. was informed that the work to correct was not covered under the drive train/transmission warranty, and because of the existence of an internal bulletin the output speed sensor in the transmission was replaced. the car was sold to me with a 100,000 mile transmission and drive-train warranty. i was forced to pay the taxes of $ 14.09.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

after changing oil filter, oil sprayed in engine compartment approximately 10 minutes into drive, causing a fire in the engine compartment. all occupants were safe, but the damage is expensive. wiring harnesses, as well as master cylinder were melted. the top mounted filter is a pleated cartridge that snaps into a threaded plastic oil filter cap. a blue o-ring, included with the filter, slips over the plastic oil filter cap, past the threads. the issue seems to that two "grooves" exist after the threads towards the end by the flange. if the o-ring is placed in the wrong location (i.e. all the way to the end) this provides an inadequate seal, posing a fire hazard as described above. correct procedure is to apply the blue o-ring on the second to last groove immediately after the threads. basically, if after tightening the oil filter assembly the blue o-ring is visible, it's in the wrong location. source: local dealer. this is not related to the plastic shield modification advised in a previous service bulletin from gm regarding the 2011-12 model years.

after changing oil filter, oil sprayed in engine compartment approximately 10 minutes into drive, causing a fire in the engine compartment. all occupants were safe, but the damage is expensive. wiring harnesses, as well as master cylinder were melted. the top mounted filter is a pleated cartridge that snaps into a threaded plastic oil filter cap. a blue o-ring, included with the filter, slips over the plastic oil filter cap, past the threads. the issue seems to that two "grooves" exist after the threads towards the end by the flange. if the o-ring is placed in the wrong location (i.e. all the way to the end) this provides an inadequate seal, posing a fire hazard as described above. correct procedure is to apply the blue o-ring on the second to last groove immediately after the threads. basically, if after tightening the oil filter assembly the blue o-ring is visible, it's in the wrong location. source: local dealer. this is not related to the plastic shield modification advised in a previous service bulletin from gm regarding the 2011-12 model years.

2013 chevy cruze at highway speeds seems to have the steering lock or become "sticky". problem is most noticeable at speeds above 50 mph. it becomes difficult to make minor changes in direction when trying to keep the car in the lane of traffic. the "lock up" seems to be worse when correcting to the left compared to correcting to the right. this becomes a real concern when driving on icy or snow packed roads as i fear a loss of control when overcorrection due to the "sticky" steering.

i was making a right turn when there was a noise similar to a timing belt failure from under the engine and the car appeared to lose power. i pulled over and looked under the vehicle but there was no sign of damage. i restarted the engine and put it in drive and the noise recurred. i decided to call a tow truck to take the car to the dealer we bought it from in august 2013. the dealer found a broken/separated front right axle. the car is an automatic. the dealer replace the axle. i am writing this to report the incident as the car is virtually brand new. i have no complaints with the dealer.

while driving in stop and go traffic at approximately 25mph. the car in front of me slammed on their brakes and to avoid hitting them i slammed on my brakes. it took 4-5 seconds before the brakes responded after pressing all the way down on the pedal basically standing on the pedal. i had to swerve into the next lane to avoid hitting the car in front of me. luckily there were no other cars in the other lane at the time.. i called the dealership and they said this is not normal and to bring the car in. i took it in and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the brake system. i tried it out in my housing complex and its still doing the same thing when driving 25mph and slamming on the brakes this car is not safe and i will be looking into replacing it with something other than chevy..

the complaint is 1)vehicle surges when stopped at a signal or stopped while in gear. extra pressure is applied to brake pedal out of fear it will lunge forward. 2)intermittently surges drastically when you remove your foot from brakes. 3)intermittent high revving and acceleration problems. a service bulletin was performed in which repairs were made to the transmission. these repairs increased the symptoms and made it the vehicle extremely unsafe to drive. gm engineers state the car is ok. does someone have do die before the problem is corrected. a lot of people have made complaint on the edmonds.com website. someone need to look into this.

the steering does not feel stable. at various times mostly at highway speeds the steering feels as though there is no connection for a split second with the tie rod that controls the steering. the car will actually pull slightly and require correction from time to time. the pull can be either to the right or left and not related to any possible wind. the car had been taken to the dealer march 14, 2013, with no change in this situation. the feeling is similar to driving some of the old junks from days gone by back in the 60's where the steering was loose and required both hands firmly on the wheel and constant correction going down the road.

the steering wheel/rack has known issues already documented by the nhtsa. when driving, especially at speeds > 50mph, the steering wheel will "lock up" or feel "notchy" without constant driver input. when performing interstate driving you will experience the steering constantly feeling like its locking up until excessive force is used to move the steering wheel (more then a few fingers worth of strength). definitely unnatural and definitely an issue for a brand new car. started since 5k miles, vehicle has apprxoimately 15k miles now and the issue is getting progressively worse. documented online is that the steering rack has a design flaw which allows air inside the steering rack, causing the steering wheel to feel notchy or like it is locking up. being that the issue is getting worse, i expect there to be a major failure at some point and wanted this documented. online on chevrolet cruze forums there are hundreds of issues similar to my own and i believe a tsb in chevrolet's database. i am going to attempt to bring the issue to light at the local chevrolet dealership now that i have the time to actually deal with this situation (due to military/government work conflicts). i purchased a full premium warranty with the vehicle when i bought it that covers everything for 100k miles/7 years, so there should be no issues with this request of fixing/replacing the issue.

vehicle was backed out of a driveway. driver shifted from reverse to drive. car moved forward about 20 feet and suddenly slowed to a stop. engine power remained on. clicking noise was heard from the right front side. clicking noise continued in reverse, drive, or park shifter positions. car would not move under its own power in either direction. we pushed car to side of road in neutral and called onstar this is the driveshaft recall issue on 2013-14 cruze with 1.4 turbo engines. i write because if this had happened on an interstate or in heavy traffic the consequences could have been much more dire. this car is almost 1 year old and has only 3000 miles on it. this defect is as serious as the ignition switch problem. there are 170000 of these cars out there with this same potential issue. when i spoke with gm they initially said that there was no recall on my vehicle and that i should take it to a dealer for service. when i insisted that there was a power train related recall on the car they then said that indeed there was a recall and that i could get it towed to a gm dealer. my only reason for writing nhtsa is to hopefully elevate this issue to one of more immediate importance. i have not yet received any notice from gm about this issue, and if it weren't for the extensive media coverage would probably still not know of this very serious issue.

2013 chevy cruze 1lt with the 1.4 turbo engine. i have actually owned two of these cars, the first was a 2011. the complaint is about both and i suspect is the same in every one of these cars that have the 1.4 turbo. my complaint is about a possible health hazard with these vehicles. they emit antifreeze fumes constantly and gm is now claiming that this is normal and they will not fix it. shortly after i purchased the 2011 model i began to notice the smell of hot antifreeze every time i would drive the vehicle, i took it in for service several times and they done everything possible to fix it with no luck. finally after about two years of dealing with this i got tired of it and traded it off for a 2013 same model. i know that sounds stupid and was but my reasoning was that i loved the car and thought that surely gm had corrected this issue by now(i was very wrong). shortly after my purchase of the 2013 i began to smell the antifreeze again and again began the process with gm to get it fixed but as before, no luck. finally after fighting with it for several months gm has called me back and said that the smell is normal operation for this vehicle. according to them the water pump is designed to leak a small amount and the leakage is caught in a retention chamber built into the water pump them evaporated out via the heat of the engine causing the constant smell. this is ridiculous! i strongly believe that sniffing these hot antifreeze fumes all the time can't be good for you and will in the long term cause health issues. with this answer i ask gm to take the car back or at least let me trade it for another model but they are unwilling to help me any more. i know that this problem is wide spread, not just with my vehicle. if you go to cruzetalk.com and research this you will find hundreds of other people with the same complaint. thank you for looking into this for us.

i live in a cold climate. while driving i get a very strong odor of anti-freeze or motor fumes that are inside the cab of the vehicle. it doesn't matter if the heater fan is on or off, the odor still gets inside the car. i have had it to the chevy dealer that i purchased the car from and was first told there was nothing wrong. the second time they replaced the inside cab filter, which isn't covered by the warranty, and it still smells. my commute to work is 1 hour and within 10 miles i have been getting sick to my stomach and headaches. the car is going back to garage again today for the 3rd time and i am predicting they will again charge us to replace something that won't fix the problem or simply tell us that nothing is wrong.

i was at a very busy four way stop intersection, when i accelerated from the stop sign, i heard a grinding sound and had no power in drive or reverse. i put the car in park and still continued to roll backwards. i had a very long line of cars in back of me as it was 8:00 in the morning rush hour. i had no control and had to try to push the car (by myself) to the side of the road. i was horrified as this happened with my brand new car. i had to wait over an hour for a tow truck to take the car to the dealer. the dealer called me later that day to say that my right front axel is broken and that there was a recall on this car. the dealer then explained that there are no parts available to fix this problem and i could be in a rental for more than a month. i am extremely upset that i was not notified of this recall and had been driving this car with my two children in it while gm knew about this for months. how is this safe? i can't put into words how mad i am that gm put my family in this car with this safety issue. i'm glad that my kids were not with me when this happened, but my fears are that this could have happened on the highway with them in the back seat. i am contacting gm, but i won't stop until this is resolved. i am telling everyone i know and social media about the cruze recall and that it isn't safe to drive.

i was told when i took my chevy cruze in for routine service that my car was on the list for the right front axle recall. i had to drive to another state the next day, and i was very nervous--i drove 600 miles and nothing happened. i took it to the chevy dealership/service in the city where i am working temporarily and they provided me with a courtesy car. my problem is that now i need to drive home and after reading about the incidents when the axle has broken am very apprehensive. this is a great worry and inconvenience. gm needs to step up and get those parts manufactured asap.

8:30am on my way to get on i74 highway to go to work..about 2 minutes from highway. pulled out of kroger after getting gas. my car made a horrible noise and then stopped abruptly. my engine was till running, radio on, lights on etc. the car just stopped like as if you had slammed the breaks. police officer parked behind me to make sure no cars hit me from behind. we finally pushed it, in neutral, into kroger parking lot where i waited for tow truck..awhile. my car was towed to hirlinger chevrolet dealership. the dealership called me later that day and told me my right front axle had broken in half. meaning the axle was no longer attached to my wheel...now i know why the abrupt stop! if it had been another two minutes, or, if there had been a car behind me when this broke, i and whomever could have been killed! there was no warning..it just stopped. hirlinger chevrolet has had my car since april 22,2014, day of the breakdown, with no epa on the part to fix it, or do something! i called gm, they tell me there no recall, but, they are aware of the problem!! i was told 30% of the 2013 cruzes have this potential problem..which could have been disaster, but mine was the first incident of an actual breakage. are you kidding me?? they knew of the problem, ive never received a recall, and my car still sits at the dealership 20 days later and i have no answers of when its getting fixed, or what gm plans to do!! in the meantime, im making my car payment, onstar payment, sirius radio payment, on a car i dont know when is ever going to get fixed. plus they knew of this problem!!

stepped on gas pedal to accelerate, heard clicking and grinding noise, engine rived up and no forward movement. stopped vehicle, put it in park, vehicle still moved, had to apply emergency brake to secure vehicle. front half axle shaft is broken. cruze is at the dealership i purchased it from. as of today, this will be going on the fourth week without my own vehicle. gm customer service cannot help me, they keep telling me to talk to the dealership. the dealership can not get any time frame on repairs and the local gm rep will not contact me .i never did get a recall notice. it seems like no one at gm wants to make a decision on how to handle this situation. i have requested to start a by back on the vehicle because i have lost faith in this vehicle and gm products. as of today 5/13/2014 i have had no help in resolving this situation.

the 2013 chevrolet cruze 1.8l engine (non-turbo) was installed with a "too small" disc rotor and/or pads for the front - causing the front disc rotor and/or front pads to be subjected to premature failure. my disc rotor and pads routinely fails at under 10,000 miles. gm recognized this problem and installed larger front disc rotor and pads for the 2014 cruze diesel but refuses to conduct a recall to replace the defective front disc rotor and pads causing dangerous stopping situation when the disc rotor and pads are prematurely worned out.

i was parallel parking my car and when i put it in park i took my foot off the brake and the car made a revving sound and went in reverse. i then hit the brake, and the car lunged forward and made the same noise. it went into the car behind me, and the car in front of me. finally after that i was able to take the car back out of park to go reverse so that i can get my car away from the car in front of it (that i hit) and then i parked it successfully. probably the scariest thing that ever happened because i had absolutely no control over my vehicle. when i tell my family/friends about the incident they think i'm a crazy person because the only way i can describe it is by saying it felt like something (such as a ghost lol) took control of my car. i'm not sure if i am going to have to pay for the damage when my lease is up.

the vehicle has always and continues to not change gears smoothly. this occurs more at low idle speeds where the car changes from 2nd to 3rd to 4th to 3rd to 4th as if it doesn't know what gear it wants to be in. i have taken the vehicle to the dealer 3 times and they have told me that since there are no lights coming on the dash, there is no fix. i have been told by the service department this is happening in all chevy's with the 6 speed transmission. this is becoming increasingly dangerous as it is now doing it at all times in all gears. i bought the car new and have not been satisfied since the 2nd month of ownership. if chevy can't come up with a fix, why not a new computer, isn't customer satisfaction something american car makers should be striving for???

the cars radio and other electrical components (ex. on-star, phone chargers, usb products) will turn on and off at random. it occurs randomly and intermittently. this has happened a number of occasions roughly 15-20 times over a couple of months. it mainly happens at a red light and then will turn back on once i accelerate. this has happened on a highway going 60-70mph and the every light on the dashboard went on and on the display screen it stated stablitrax is off. immediately pressed my onstar button and asked them to run diagnosis and the whole conversation was going in and out of being able to hear them. my radio was going on and off the entire time when the radio was on i could hear when it was off and all power was off. we did loss connection to onstar and i repressed the button. i have had them run their "diagnosis" multiple times when this happens and they never have anything come up wrong. they advised me to tale the dealer. i have been to the dealer where they advised me that unless it was happening at that time it would pretty much be impossible to figure out the problem. i have heard some clicking or switching sounds come from under the hood while i have been driving occasionally not sure if and my engine temp always runs cold not sure if either of those relate. it would be nice to feel safe in my new car and it would be nice to be paying for onstar and not have a doubt they would be reachable if this causes a bigger problem! be safe fellow chevy cruze drivers!

the cars radio and other electrical components (ex. on-star, phone chargers, usb products) will turn on and off at random. it occurs randomly and intermittently. this has happened a number of occasions roughly 15-20 times over a couple of months. it mainly happens at a red light and then will turn back on once i accelerate. this has happened on a highway going 60-70mph and the every light on the dashboard went on and on the display screen it stated stablitrax is off. immediately pressed my onstar button and asked them to run diagnosis and the whole conversation was going in and out of being able to hear them. my radio was going on and off the entire time when the radio was on i could hear when it was off and all power was off. we did loss connection to onstar and i repressed the button. i have had them run their "diagnosis" multiple times when this happens and they never have anything come up wrong. they advised me to tale the dealer. i have been to the dealer where they advised me that unless it was happening at that time it would pretty much be impossible to figure out the problem. i have heard some clicking or switching sounds come from under the hood while i have been driving occasionally not sure if and my engine temp always runs cold not sure if either of those relate. it would be nice to feel safe in my new car and it would be nice to be paying for onstar and not have a doubt they would be reachable if this causes a bigger problem! be safe fellow chevy cruze drivers!

gm has a recall out on the 2013 - 2014 chevy cruze models for the defective part on the right front end axle, they have had my chevy cruze in their service department since may 12th, 2014 when they did the recall inspection. they are unable to release the vehicle back to me because they would be liable if something happened to me. they do not have the parts, or do they have a time frame as to when the parts will be available. this has caused a major inconvenience for me, as i am making payments on a brand new vehicle which i have no access to, due to this recall. it is unfair as a consumer that a car was sold knowing that they had a defective part and knew they had no parts for the recall. just yesterday they announced another recall for the 2013-2014 chevy cruze models for a defective airbag. have not found out if my car is included in this one or not, but at this time, who cares, they still have my car for the front end axle recall with no timeframe as to when i will get my vehicle fixed. buy your cars back that you sold to consumers willing knowing this problem. lemon law under the gm new car warranty.

i have notified dealer henry valencia; 613 paseo de onate; espanola, nm 87532; tel 505-753-7481; 1-800-430-2356; fax 1-505-753-7481 of a sweet buring smell when i first purchased car. i have not smelled that odor since i bought the car new in november 2013. i have read the albuquerque journal as well as the wall street journal and have seen recalls for front wheel drive axles cracking. today's wall street journal says select 2013-2014 have defective airbags that could deploy with the ignition on or off. i purchased this car understanding that it was chevrolets best selling and safe car with 10 airbags and 5 star rating for safety. my niece is 21 and her daughter (my god child) is 13 months of age. these are scary recall's when children or young responsible adults are in my 2013 chevrolet cruze eco. this does not give me peace of mind and i want to make sure my car is registered through nhtsa. our family has been through enough deaths with our immediate family. safety is more important than any amount of money. help keep families safe and protected.

there are three problems affecting my car. i took it in to the dealer on june 7, 2014. my car was experiencing the fan turning on abruptly and picking up all types of debris from under the car, the ac also began blowing hot air, and the thermometer to measure outside temperature was not accurate. they identified all three problems. the ac and fan were linked to the compressor not working, and the thermometer needed an update. i was told they did the update and that they would have to special order the compressor and would call me within 3 days to come back so they could install it. we are at the end of the month and i have yet to receive a call i have called them twice already and they do not have an answer as to when the part will arrive. the thermometer is still not working, i have no ac. i am disappointed as all this is covered under warranty and i am stuck with a car with no ac which is pretty bad considering we are in the summer months, i am afraid to have my children in the car with me if i have to drive on the freeway because i cannot roll the windows down and the temperature in the car becomes too hot.

traveling on the interstate about 60mph, car in front of me slammed on their brakes, i did the same but did not have enough time as it only took a split second and i had rear-ended the car in front of me still going approximately 55-60mph. my head hit the steering wheel because no air bags ever deployed. i suffered cervical straightening of the c spine and strain, which resulted in tests to rule out brain bleed. severe headache and swelling of my head eventually eased 4-5 days post accident.

my daughter was driving my car to my place of work. snowy day,making a right hand turn, going very slow to turn, she started sliding. my car slid sideways, the drivers side rear tire hit curb, all airbags opened except drivers steering wheel. she sustained head and neck injury. transported to hospital by ambulance with neck collar on, nothing broken. out of work for 2 weeks, immobile with back pain. i was without my car for a month, waiting on parts from gm to repair rear axle and rest of the airbags.

i bought my cruze in nov 2013 1.4 turbo engine, i saw the recall on t.v. on apr 15, called mike castrucci milford, ohio 513-831-5460 and asked about it, i was leaving in two days to drive four hours to take care of my sister, my vin number was checked i was told my car was not involved. i found out at cardinal chevy dealer in hazard, that it was, when i called castrucci, they said bring my cruze in as soon as i came home, that was may 13, my car is un drivable, and has been at castrucci since then waiting on parts. now i see that other cars like mine were already involved, and were repaired with faulty parts, and have to be repaired again. i want my car fixed or i want my money back, i paid cash for this car and it has been at mike castrucci for two months!!!!!

my vehicle is part of the nhtsa campaign id number 14v151. this right front axle problem has been known since at least march 2014. i was notified in june 2014 of the recall. the dealer still has no parts to fix the subject vehicles (even ones that have failed). others like me are afraid to drive on long trips with the known unsafe condition. still others are afraid to drive their vehicle at all. this is atrocious and needs to be dealt with immediately.

i bought my 2013 cruze ltz about three months ago and i was sure that it was the perfect car, now, i'm fully aware that i was wrong.. i got in my car to leave for work on august 1, 2014 and when i started my car, the on dash maintenance reminders all went crazy telling me to "service power steering" and "service stabilitrak".. i knew this couldn't be right so i turned off the engine and restarted the car, the screen went crazy again with the service notifications. i didn't have time to have it checked out before work so i went ahead with my day, i got all the way to the interstate (which is about a mile and a half from my driveway) and noticed the steering was getting stiff so i pulled over and restarted the car again and the lights didn't come back on so i, again, went on about my day... issue number two-- about three days later, and every day since, my on dash touch screen goes completely black, which wouldn't bother me so bad if it didn't make all of the "service" lights come back on. i don't "need" a touch screen but it would be really nice if i didn't feel like i was driving a ticking time bomb every day since the vehicle clearly has wiring issues. now, if i touch the brakes or roll down a window, the screen goes completely black, the dash lighting flickers and the service lights come on. i've been searching forums for almost a month and it seems that numerous people are having these issues, not only myself. i'm so disappointed with my purchase, its almost unreal.. the perfect car, in the perfect color with more recalls (and other issues that haven't been recalled) than i even know how to deal with it. never again will i buy a chevrolet vehicle. it is out of control to not be able to feel safe in a vehicle that you've worked extremely hard to get.
